Our architect Mulderblauw and greenhouse producer Nobutec are happy to tell you more about the idea behind The B House: An impressive glass greenhouse has been installed in the patio of Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport; The B House is an inspiring, sustainable place for meetings and events.

As with the hotel, Mulderblauw was responsible for the interior design of
The B House, which was created by greenhouse building specialist Nobutec. The starting point of the design is a large greenhouse with an impressive raised roof, however, unlike some traditional greenhouses,
The B House has a pleasant indoor climate that is suitable for meetings, events and informal gatherings. The construction of the greenhouse has been given an industrial black coating, so that it is less dominant in the space and the interior design stands out more.

The interior of The B House was designed as an extension of the hotel lobby. To give The B House a warm and friendly feeling, we work with a lot of greenery and natural materials. In collaboration with HRBS, a local herbal supplier, room dividers have been filled with plants and at times, edible greenery as well. These cabinets are mobile and can be used to divide
The B House into various sections. Special elements are the beehives located in the niche between The B House and the restaurant. Here our very own beekeeper Erik from Imkerij MeerBijen takes care of the bees and the natural production of honey.

The B House has been equipped with a LED screen of 5120 x 2800 mm, adjustable sun/blackout screens and decorative lighting to allow any event to take place in an attractive and functional way, from an innovative product launch to a themed wedding.
